We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join or expanding clinical governance / clinical trials team. Bradford Teaching Hospitals is a great place to work, with a friendly and welcoming pharmacy team. The increase in clinical trials being run by the hospital has led to this post being offered. It promises to be a varied role, and the size of the department means there are many opportunities for a motivated pharmacy technician to develop and use their skills with support from colleagues.
You will be part of a well-supported and established team, working with experienced staff. We will make sure that you are offered appropriate training and development for the role if required. No prior experience of working in this area is required - full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
This post will be based primarily at Bradford Royal Infirmary with some cross site working

Main duties of the job
CLINICAL TRIALS
- Contribute to the day to day running of the pharmacy clinical trials work
- Support with the set up and close down of trials
- Be involved with ongoing work to ensure the safe and legal conduct of clinical trials
GOVERNANCE
- Other duties at a comparable level of responsibility as required by the department
- Dispensing and accuracy checking prescriptions
- Other tasks may be available depending on previous experience and department needs, such as ward work, policy and protocol writing / review, supporting the governance team with the work of DTG (Drug and Therapeutics Group)
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
- Participate in audit and pharmacy practice research
