The role of the chemotherapy nurse is to provide holistic care for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy or other systemic cancer treatments (eg: immunotherapies) and is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding role.

The post holder will be encouraged and supported in their personal development through a bespoke personal development plan supported in partnership with the chemotherapy lead.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Band 6 Chemotherapy Nurse to work on the Cecilia Unit (Chemotherapy Day Case Unit) at Wythenshawe Hospital.

We are seeking an experienced nurse with exceptional proven clinical, leadership and managerial skills with a passion and desire to specialise in lung cancer nursing.

Our expanding team are looking to recruit nurses who are committed, motivated and forward thinking to complement our existing multi-disciplinary team in achieving excellent care for our patients.

The role of the chemotherapy nurse is to provide holistic care for cancer patients receiving chemotherapy or other systemic cancer treatments (eg: immunotherapies) and is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding role.

Delivering systemic antic cancer treatment to patients with lung cancer. Psychological care to patients and their carers. Supporting junior members of the team. Supporting the Band 7's role.
