Are you a motivated individual who is interested in joining our small team within the oncology/haematology ward ?
We are looking for someone to begin or increase their Haematology or Oncology experience and wants to work within this rewarding environment.
We care for patients with a wide range of solid tumour and haematology disorders. We care for patients with side effects from chemotherapy, patients who are post stem cell transplant and we administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment and supportive therapies.
Main duties of the job
This post will be working to support the existing team in the safe delivery of holistic care to a wide range of cancer patients undergoing treatments.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with an enthusiasm to care for oncology/haematology patients and to undertake their SACT training. The applicant should have excellent communication skills.
SACT training will be given as well as blood transfusion training, venepuncture and care of central venous access devices if not previously undertaken.
The successful candidate will be flexible to meet the increasingly complex needs of the service and be able to work effectively within a small team.

We have about 470 beds and employ over 4000 staff.
We support flexible working and will consider requests taking into account the needs of the service. We think working here is pretty rewarding. You can access a range of NHS discounts, receive a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme. On-site benefits include car parking (fee applies), leisure centre, day nursery and holiday play scheme.
