We are seeking a Registered nurse with oncology research experience to be part of the oncology research delivery team at UHP.
As a RN you will be required to play an integral role into the delivery of high quality research within oncology and work collaboratively with the clinical and wider multi-disciplinary team.
This role is patient facing and will involve the identification, recruitment, education and monitoring of patients participating in research along with the timely collation and documentation of accurate data. This post combines managerial responsibilities with the clinical research process and specialist clinical knowledge.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and passionate about clinical research, have the ability to adapt to changing situations and be able to organise and prioritise own workload.
The successful candidate will be working with an established research team with a large and varied portfolio of phase I to phase III studies.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist knowledge, skills and experience within clinical research, and act as a resource to advise and support those involved in clinical trials at all levels. The post-holder will be able to autonomously plan, implement, organise and manage concurrent research projects. S/he will develop networks with Multidisciplinary Teams across the Trust and other appropriate local and national agencies. S/he will coordinate and manage the relevant study portfolio and deliver recruitment accrual in line with performance and monitoring objectives.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Manage research performance within the relevant specialty in relation to team activities and study timelines.3. Ensure all staff within sphere of responsibility have access to essential training and achieve 100%compliance.7. Be responsible for the deployment of HR policies including proactively managing sickness and performancein line with the Trust policy.8. Ensure the health, safety and security of the clinical research team within sphere of responsibility9. Lead in the recruitment of Research Nurses/Practitioners within the relevant team.10. Assist the Team Lead with the training and development of clinical research practitioners and administratorsto ensure retention of staff and workforce development where possible.
