37.5 Hours over 5 days . 8.30-4.30pm . This is a face to face role within the team with no opportunity to wfh.
The Simulation and Essential Clinical Skills service forms part of the Education Academy within Barts Health. It is responsible for providing facilities and educational opportunities for both undergraduate and post graduate trainees across Barts Health and supporting inter-professional education and training. The successful candidate will work closely as part of the wider Simulation and Essential Clinical skills team that includes medical leads, clinical skills tutors, and education academy Fellows
Main duties of the job
As part of this role the post holder will be required to design, develop, deliver & evaluate Clinical Education Programmes which encompass essential clinical skills, high fidelity simulation, haptic skills training, human factors, communications skills & patient safety training.
They will support the trusts long term strategy to embed a culture of Patient Safety & Human factors awareness through all educational programmes. Also be able to promote & support an active and responsive approach to training & development across the Trust through clinical, human factors & communication skills, & simulation based learning initiatives.

- Someone with or working towards masters programme in education
- Proven experience in teaching / simulation based training and Human Factors teaching.
- Experience in managing simulation based service
- Ability to manage their own workload / services and manage a large team
- Ability to work across site and cross disciplines
- Experience of medical education
- Experience of clinical debriefing
- Excellent communication and social skills
- Aptitude for learning and best practice
- Ability to work both within a team and independently
