We are recruiting for an Clinical Nurse Specialist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated qualified nurse who can demonstrate current experience/significant experience at Band6/ 7 working in the field of Lung cancer or oncology care or screening.
You will be responsible for the day to day delivery of lung cancer care services within the trust as agreed with the Lead Nurse, in accordance of the Trust and national guidance.
You will work with patients being investigated and having a confirmed diagnosis of lung cancer or Mesothelioma , ensuring that national targets are meet in the delivery of the care.

Main duties of the job
Liaising with all appropriate members of multi-disciplinary team and ensuring a seamless service between acute and primary care services
Communicating very sensitive condition related information to patients and relatives, requiring high levels of empathy and reassurance. This includes highly complex information that needs to be conveyed in easily understood language.
Ensuring the provision of appropriate verbal and written patient information, thus empowering the patient to make informed decisions.
Maintain own knowledge, competence and skill level through regular clinical supervision, appraisal, personal development plans and appropriate training programmes.
Work in partnership with other professional, health and social care organisations, trade union and voluntary sector organisations to embed these principles.
