This is an exciting fixed term opportunity to work within our haematology team at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced nurse to join our team and support the delivery of high quality safe care.
The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with degree level education (Adult) with relevant current clinical, managerial and strategic experience.
You will work autonomously providing advice & guidance, triage and clinics, working closely with the medical consultant team you will be supported
You will ensure the best possible standards of patient care and maintain patient safety to assist in providing a positive patient experience. The right candidate will have strong communication skills.

Main duties of the job
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be confident at communicating with patients who are facing a life limiting illness. You will need to be confident in communicating with all members of the multi-disciplinary team at all levels. You will be expected to carry out venepuncture, venesection, bone marrow biopsys and cannulate patients daily. You will need to be able to demonstrate the Trust Values within your everyday work.
