Are you a Registered Nurse looking to gain experience in working with children and families in a community setting? Are you considering applying to undertake the SCPHN training to become a health visitor?
We are looking for enthusiastic staff nurses from different specialities, to join the Health Visiting service at the Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. You will be working with our teams in City and Hackney to deliver core and targeted services to children aged 0-5 and their families.
The post holder will be supported by qualified health visitors and mixed skill teams. There are also training opportunities available to support the new role.

Main duties of the job
The Public Health Staff Nurse will support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme within a progressive universal model of service delivery dependent on assessed needs. Ensuring the programme is delivered in partnership with other statutory and non-statutory agencies. This role will play a key part in the development and safe delivery of 0-5 health visiting service, utilising best available evidence to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people especially those from disadvantaged groups.
The post holder will delegated workload under supervision of the Senior health visitors and will have a responsibility to carry out specific nursing care for patients, families/ carers. The post holder will also work in partnership with the Multi-Disciplinary Team, and other agencies, to ensure that excellent standards of care are provided.
The post holder will be expected to support their team, department and organisation to achieve the Trust's Values in their day to day work.
