The Senior Clinical Staff Nurse within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will support the Senior Leadership Team, and Directorate Management Team, in the delivery of a quality neonatal service, to match the patient/guardian experience.

The role of Senior Clinical Staff Nurse, is to be clinically credible, in the delivery of the general and specialist services, delivered within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Main duties of the job

The Senior Clinical Staff Nurse will work closely, with the Senior Leadership Team in the delivery of evidence based practice: ensuring patients receive safe, effective and professional patient care, to meet the Directorate & Trust safety agenda, and matching parent and family expectations.

The Senior Clinical Staff Nurse will work in close partnership with the Neonatal Consultants, the Nursing Team, Allied Health Professionals and the wider Multi Disciplinary Team to ensure all patients and their families, who access the Neonatal Intensive Care, will receive high quality care throughout their neonatal journey

Job responsibilities

The candidate is required to possess, and be able to demonstrate a high level of skill and knowledge in order to deliver high quality nursing care to all babies and families during their neonatal journey.

They will possess the QIS qualification and be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills requires by the role
