Job Title: Lead Pharmacy Technician - Stores and Distribution
Band: 6
Base: You may be required to work in other designated locations of the Trustas well as your primary base. In particular, flexibility is required acrossthe three main hospital sites (Leicester Royal Infirmary, LeicesterGeneral Hospital and Glenfield Hospital). If your initial location is one ofthese sites excess travel reimbursement would not apply for apermanent or temporary change of base.

Main duties of the job
To be the Lead Pharmacy Technician for service improvement and strategic development of the Pharmacy Stores and Distribution Service on all 3 hospital sites.
Effectively co-ordinate and supervise the pharmacy service from stores and distribution areas to all users.
Main duties of job To be responsible for the management of appropriate storage and distribution of medicines to ensure accurate and timely supply services to internal & external customers including patients, wards staff, clinic staff and medical staff, which meet professional and legal requirements.
To provide day-to-day supervision of store supervisors, storekeepers, apprentices and distribution staff within Pharmacy Stores and within Pharmacy distribution.
To develop effective, accurate and sustainable means of managing all drugs stocked throughout pharmacy locations, maintaining stock levels, and receiving and distributing medical supplies to all designated areas.
To train and carry out competency assessment of store supervisors, storekeepers, apprentices and distribution staff within pharmacy stores and pharmacy distribution.
