G4 has an exciting job opportunity for a Band 7 Senior Sister or Senior Charge Nurse. If you are highly motivated, resilient with a drive for quality and have a passion for our older population, then this is an ideal opportunity for you.

G4 is a 27 bed Acute Medical Ward for Older people. You will be responsible for managing the ward ,promoting a positive experience for patients, relatives and also your team.

Main duties of the job

To lead and co-ordinate a multidisciplinary team to ensure an optimum level of safe and effective patient care within budgetary resources

To assess care needs, to develop, to implement and evaluate programmes of care.

To be responsible for all aspects of staff management and recruitment in line with HR policy.

To participate in a full range of shifts, including Trust and Unit bleep holder rotas, ensuring a visible presence in the ward area.

To be responsible for all aspects of clinical governance and risk management within the ward area.

Essential

  • Current and relevant registration on NMC Register
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Mentorship training

Experience

  • Experience of managing a ward/unit
