**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes currentEast Cheshire NHS Trust employees,bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups. **
This is a 28 bedded surgical ward delivering high quality care to general surgical and gynaecological patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience at band 5.
With excellent communication skills, team working skills and some experience in leading a team to join our busy ward.
Our nursing team is focused on the six C's so we aim to deliver high quality, compassionate care to our patients and carers.
We will support your development in this post through personal development planning. In return for your commitment to our Trust we are offer excellent training opportunities, experience and support to broaden your knowledge and skills as a qualified nurse.
Hours per Week: 37.5
Main duties of the job
The role of the band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse is to support, contribute to and assist the Senior Sister in the leadership and the management of the Ward/ unit team and to support the Senior Sister in the development, monitoring and implementation of high quality, evidence-based clinical care to ensure continuity of service provision and standards are maintained and improved.
