Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, 36 hours per week
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior registered Nurse to join our team on a permeant basis. We are an 8 bedded unit offering experience in Cardiology. We also run the NIV service for West Cumbria's patients.
We would like an individual who is committed to best practice and able to take charge of the team and general running of the ward. This would require relevant experience and good communication skills.

Main duties of the job
To take charge of the ward, being responsible for the cardiac monitoring in the central station.
Overseeing and supporting the more junior staff, delegating patients appropriately.
Liaising with other hospitals, staff and bed management to ensure safe patient transfers. Manging beds and patient admissions.
Escalating appropriate concerns concerns to management.
Taking part in ward audits.
Helping to arrange cover and management of sickness.
The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.
Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.
