We currently have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 nurse to join the Brent Children's Community Nursing Team. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic full-time Nurse.
The post holder will work as part of the Brent Children's Community Nursing Team and will be required to work closely within a multi-disciplinary setting. Intravenous competency with central lines would be an advantage.
This post offers a great opportunity for a Paediatric Nurse to further develop nursing skills within the community setting. The organisation is supportive of training needs and there is an excellent training an education programme. You will also receive regular safeguarding supervision, clinical supervision and will have support from the Team Lead.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Children's Community Nursing Team, providing nursing care primarily within a child's home, school and nursery, ensuring the delivery of evidenced based care to children and their families or carers.
The post holder will be responsible for:
To participate in the assessment, planning and provision of skilled nursing care in negotiation with the child and family.
To provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with complex care needs including technology dependent such as tracheostomy care and central venous access.
To provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with a variety of nursing needs, such as enteral feeding, and intra-venous antibiotic administration.
To work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless delivery of care to families.
To provide information and support to facilitate the child's and family's own choices with regards to nursing care.

- Current NMC Registration for children's nursing
- Evidence of post registration study / learning over the past two years
- Numeracy skills required for the safe administration of medicines
