Job overview
We have a number of positions available for registered nurses (adult or Paediatric trained) and Midwives. Within our Neonatal team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. No previous experience will be required as we will provide full support to work through local induction and the QIS modules (Qualified in Speciality) in conjunction with the University of South Wales
We are a dedicated team of Neonatal Nurses, Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Consultants, Practice Development Team and Outreach team working in a busy environment with a family like ethos. It's a great team to be part of!
As part of the All-Wales Neonatal Network Transport Service, we care, not only for babies and their families born in our Health Board, but from the whole of Wales, therefore, you will gain an enormous amount of experience, knowledge and skills from working with us at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
As part of the support provided, we facilitate and deliver the Qualified in Speciality (QIS) neonatal courses in conjunction with the University of South Wales.
You will be expected to undertake both courses when they commence April/May, run for 15weeks, following this, there with a six to eight week break before the second course commences. This will be September/October for a further 15 weeks.
You'll be fully supported during your induction and you will work supernumerary with a buddy throughout.
