We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced paediatric audiologist for a permanent part-time Band 7 position as Paediatric Audiology Team Manager in a busy but friendly community-based paediatric audiology team. The post involves working alongside existing paediatric audiologists and assistant staff at 3 purpose-built audiology test facilities in the city of Leeds. The post holder will lead the team both clinically and operationally under the supervision of the Audiology Service Manager. Clinically carrying out paediatric diagnostic hearing assessments and with onward referrals to the hospital ENT and audiology services. Service improvement and development are central to the vision for community paediatric audiology service provision. The post holder will support the service as it works towards IQUIPS accreditation. The team has monthly team meetings which include clinical and child protection supervision topics that staff are encouraged to contribute to.

Main duties of the job

Line management duties which including appraisals, annual leave requests, sickness absence management, disciplinary and performance management. Clinical duties will include delivering high levels of care to the services patients via face-to-face appointments. Supporting the team with any clinical queries. Chairing the services Clinical Governance monthly meeting and sharing local and national clinical updates. Service improvements duties which include implementing any identified additional service offers and supporting pathway development with relevant partners around the city/region.
