An exciting opportunity has arisen due to investment for an innovative and motivated Speech and Language Therapist with skills and experience in dysfluency to join our team. We are looking for applications from Speech and Language Therapists who demonstrate excellent clinical skills and knowledge, a passion for service improvement and innovation, the ability to lead with enthusiasm and energy and are committed to development of their self and others.
As the service transitions into The Balanced System, you will be responsible for ensuring a robust, evidence-based offer is in place for all levels and strands of the framework, working alongside and collaboratively with our partner agencies.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Main duties of the job
You will act as Clinical Lead for the Children and Young People's Speech and Language Therapy Service in the area of Dysfluency.
Lead on implementation and evaluation of evidence based improvement programmes in a range of settings to drive continuous quality improvement in the delivery of high quality and safe care for patients and service users
Provide a high quality person centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.
Positively lead, influence and improve the quality of the clinical environment by the provision of research, audit, or educational activities to facilitate improvements in patient care and organisational development.
Provide advanced specialist advice, support, supervision and continuous professional development activities.
Provide best practice advice in a clinical setting for mentors/educators and staff in relation to clinical practice and governance.
