We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Oncology/Haematology nurse to join our Oncology/Haematology Acute Oncology team on a permanent contract, as a band 6 Acute Oncology CNS.
Main duties of the job
The acute oncology service supports newly diagnosed cancer patients and patients with a cancer of unknown primary. You will work cross site and work independently as well as part of a team. You will also work with and support the Oncology/Haematology Helpine team.

- Registered Nurse Qualification
- Teaching/Mentoring Certificate / skills

- Other Post Basic Qualification
Knowledge, Experience & Expertise

- Significant experience working within Oncology/Haematology
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of audit.
- Evidence of maintaining skills in assessment and management of acute Oncology / Haematology patient care
- Ability to deal with complex and difficult emotional situations
Desirable
- Experience in service development/change management.
Communication & Relationships
Essential
- Ability to delegate, organise and prioritise care delivery
- Excellent communication skills.
