The post holder will be a part of the Trusts Programme Management Office (PMO) team and will be supporting the Head of Programmes and PMO Business Partners in the delivery, support and monitoring of complex projects within Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital and the Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin Integrated Care System (ICS).
The post holder will provide support to ensure the successful implementation of agreed programmes and projects using project management best practice methodologies.
Main duties of the job
o Support the delivery of training relating to project management and improvement, across the Trust, to equip staff with the necessaryskills to initiate and implement sustained improvement within their areas.o Make informed judgements as to the most effective improvement tools and techniques to apply in order to deliver the desired outcomesand apply these as appropriate.o Work within, and provide support to, diverse teams, demonstrating sound leadership capabilities in managing change to improve theefficiency and effectiveness of the services within the programme scope.o Promote a positive change management culture within the Trust.o Demonstrate the behaviours expected within the organisation as outlined in the Trust values and behaviours framework.o Contribute to the ongoing development of training materials, event structures etc. in order that all staff groups have an appropriateunderstanding of project management.o Coach and support colleagues in project management and improvement approaches and tools used by the team.

The PMO team sit within the Operational Directorate. Our vision is to create a PMO that acts as a centre of excellence in project management, from inception to tracking delivery. It promotes a consistent approach across the Trust, ensure that quality and efficiencies are clearly identified and managed appropriately.
Our two hospitals, The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury, provide a wide range of acute hospital services for around half a million people across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. Together the hospitals have over 700 beds and assessment and treatment trolleys across a variety of services.
We employ almost 6,000 staff, and hundreds of staff and students from other organisations also work in our hospitals.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree, professional registration, or equivalent specialist experience.
- PRINCE 2 Foundation or equivalent qualification or experience
Desirable
- Formal training in Lean methodologies to an advanced level
Experience and Behaviors

- Experience in managing and monitoring projects, with the ability to manage cross programme / project conflict and interdependencies.
- Experience of developing and / or implementation of project reporting and tracking.
- Experience of working in partnership with service providers with evidence of achieving organisational outcomes.
- Ability to manage work of self to accommodate competing priorities and meet demands.
Desirable
- Experience of working in the NHS or Health related environment
- Experience of using NHS information, benchmarking data and hospital information systems.
