Main duties of the job

Are you passionate about teaching and enhancing patient care? The Northern Care Alliance is seeking an enthusiastic professional to lead training initiatives for our multidisciplinary team managing chronic heart failure.

Professional Registration

Essential

  • Registered with NMC


Qualifications

Essential

  • Health related degree of working towards
  • Cardiology qualification or equivalent clinical experience
  • Willingness to work towards further essential qualifications
  • Recognised teaching qualification, ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Post-basic qualification to minimum diploma standard or equivalent.


Desirable

  • Evidence of having undertaken relevant further study or training as required for the post.
  • Recognised leadership qualification.


Knowledge

Essential

  • Substantial post-registration experience within cardiology specialty.
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Excellent ECG interpretation skills.
  • Leadership skills
  • Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development


Desirable

  • Proven experience at Band 6/7
  • Experience as a heart failure specialist nurse.


Skills

Essential

  • Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
  • Good IT skills


Desirable

  • Full UK driving license with willingness to use own car for work purposes
