An exciting opportunity has arisen within Warstock Lane Community Mental Health Team, where we are looking to recruit band 6 CPN or allied health professional. You will be joining us at an exciting time of the planning and implementation of our Community Transformation.
We are looking to recruit either a CPN or an allied health professional into the team.
The post holder will be able to shape their role in the team and take on elements of duty work, assessments and care co-ordination. They will manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health problems, within CMHT. There will be regular supervision to support this. They should have a good understanding of the CPA framework and our responsibilities within it. They will work alongside and within the wider multi-disciplinary team.
There will be opportunities to engage in service development and work in creative and innovative ways to improve patient care as we move forward with the exciting process of transformation within community mental health services in Birmingham.
They will have experience of working within Community Mental Health Services and within the post will have access to training opportunities according to their own aspirations and the needs of the service.
Main duties of the job
They must be able to work independently and have the ability to prioritise and effectively manage their workload. The role requires close working with other members of our team, outside teams/agencies, and with our service users and families. The applicant will therefore need to be able to communicate effectively and have skill with those who may be more difficult to engage.
The post holder will also be expected at times to cover other roles for periods of leave/absence and will be expected to contribute to Trust/team initiatives as required.
The applicant must have a flexible and 'can do' approach, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes, often at short notice. A positive attitude is essential for effective teamwork and management of the challenges and complexities within our work.
