We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic staff members to the position of Clinical Lead across the Adult Mental Health at Roseberry Park Hospital. The successful candidates will be highly motivated individual who hold a current professional registration with the NMC.
You will be professionally accountable and responsible for the delivery of clinical care within the ward team with the focus on positive behavioural support to patients.
18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework is essential.
This exciting and challenging role will afford the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team that is focused on delivering high standards of care through evidenced based practice. You will be in a key role within the team and alongside other members of the leadership team, ensuring the overall aims and purpose of the ward are clear and that patient safety is paramount.You will carry out assigned tasks involving direct care, and will be required to work rotational days and night shifts. The post is also part of the Duty Nurse Coordinator rota and the successful applicant will be allocated Duty Nurse shifts as part of this roster.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be working with patients across adult mental health inpatient wards providing clinical leadership to a core team of staff. The successful applicant should have a person centered values base, have skills in identifying strategies and plans for future care, maximising individual's strengths and minimizing the impact of their needs on their daily lives.
You will need excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach. You will need to be able to form therapeutic relationships with people with mental health needs. You will be joining a team of highly skilled and committed individuals and will become part of the multi-disciplinary team.

- Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council. RMNH/RNLD
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Recognised Practice Supervisor and/or Practice Assessor, clinical educator or equivalent. Must be achieved within 6 months
- Trained in Clinical Supervision and providing clinical supervision OR willingness to work towards within 6 months
Experience

- Minimum of 18 months experience post completion of preceptorship experience working with people with mental ill health, Autism or Learning Disability in a care environment.
- Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
- Providing clinical supervision to individuals or groups as professionally appropriate
- Supervising or assessing students on practice placement.

- Demonstrable knowledge to post-graduate level of evidence based practice in caring for patients in the designated field
