THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 2 YEARS AS PART OF ROTATION PLAN AND RECRUITMENT.
Applications from Occupational Therapy students graduating in 2024 are welcome!
To provide Occupational Therapy depending upon the rotational area worked in.
To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess plan, implement and evaluate interventions in an environment as agreed by senior staff.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who will contribute to the development of our service in South Powys. Our drive is to maintain patients in their own homes through thorough and comprehensive assessments and interventions. We believe in being able to respond rapidly to a crisis in addition to looking at individual's long-term needs and aspirations. We offer wide ranging interventions including developing our long term condition management programmes and one to one interventions in the community.
We are a supportive professional team and are proud of our training and development progamme to support staff to progress and learn in a positive environment
This would suit a newly qualified OTlooking for their first post, or someone looking to develop their experience before progressing into a more senior role.
You will have the opportunity to further develop your skills through structured rotations including Neurological Rehab, Community Rehab, and Inpatient Rehab. There will be opportunities to gain community respiratory experience as part of the rehab rotations. We are also exploring the opportunities for this post to rotate within children's services, learning disabilities and mental health.
This is a post covering the South Powys Locality.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
