An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Manager to join the Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity Team.
The charity manages a wide range of activities and projects that make a positive difference to the experience of our patients and staff. This includes the Northumbria Voluntary Service (NVS), hospital environment projects, our healing arts programme whilst also enhancing and bringing a bit of 'brightness' to patients, staff and our community.

This role will be integral in leading on maintaining and increasing the charities income streams to enable us to fulfil our purposes. This role will also play a key part in the charities senior leadership team.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for leading and helping to grow the charities fundraising team and function, responsibilities will cover areas such as community fundraising, individual giving, events, partnerships, in memory, legacies, grants and trusts.
Responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy which aligns with the overarching charity strategy.
Lead on building a supporter base, partnerships and building relationships both internally and externally.
Responsible for meeting agreed fundraising targets and delivering against an agreed return on investment (RoI).

Responsible for the development and management of fundraising strategies and campaigns in line with the charitys aims and objectives
To build relationships with local companies and local communities to encourage the development of a community-based fundraising network to work with the charity in support of healthcare services
Line management responsibility for the fundraising team including performance management of team against agreed fundraising targets.
Take a lead on developing a pipeline of opportunities and income from individuals, the community, corporates, and high net worth individuals using a range of fundraising techniques.
Plan, manage and deliver a programme of successful campaigns and appeals that encourage new donors and retain and inspire our existing supporters.
Implement effective stewardship strategies and plan engagement to develop and maintain relationships and loyalty and increase donations.
To establish processes around due diligence, monitoring and evaluation, financial procedures, recording and monitoring of grants.
Build and develop effective relationships across the Charity and the Trust.
Act as a representative of the Charity in negotiations and relationships with third parties acting at all times in good faith and in an ethical manner.
Support and develop events when required.
This role will work directly with the Head of Bright Charity to enable successful income generation for the Charity. This includes the management and development of income streams and processes that underpin the success of the fundraising and income generation of the Charity strong and effective relationship management with donors and reporting on overall performance and return on investment.
Raise the profile of the charity by attending, leading and hosting key networking events and/or conferences and staying abreast of key sector insights and trends.
Develop meaningful engagement with Trust staff, increasing awareness and understanding of the Charitys aims and objectives.
Influence Charity strategy beyond Individual giving to ensure fundraising becomes embedded across every role in the Charity.
Support communications in telling compelling and compassionate stories that bring the work of Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity to life and to a broader audience.
Support the development of professional fundraising standards across the Bright Charity team.

- Educated to degree level plus further knowledge to post graduate diploma level equivalent or equivalent in addition to significant experience of working within the charitable fundraising field and knowledge of the relevant fundraising legislation and governance.
