We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Audiologist to join our Colchester team as a Senior Audiologist.
The department provides a wide range of routine and complex diagnostic and rehabilitation activities to adults and children in North East Essex.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic to join our team who are committed to providing high quality care for patients and their families. You will be undertaking a range of clinical activities and supervising other staff such as assistant audiologists and students. We work together to develop our experience and range of clinical skills in the spirit of mutual support and personal development. There is opportunity to access some first line management training.
The team is made up of Audiologists, Hearing Therapists, Assistant Audiologist and admin staff The Audiology Department is within walking distance of Colchester Train Station and is very well equipped. The clinic rooms are of high specification and it is a pleasant working environment for the Team.
Please note this is a fixed term/secondment position until 1st January 2026. Internal candidates will be offered a secondment position only
Main duties of the job
Perform, interpret and report on routine and complex auditory testing on adults and children
Routine and complex hearing aid selection fitting and rehabilitation including verification of fitting.
Develop and implement an individual aural rehabilitation program, based on evaluation of the assessment and outcome measures at fitting appointments.
Diagnostic vestibular investigations on patients of all ages.
Liaises with other professionals, regarding the hearing assessment and rehabilitation of hearing impaired children.
Undertakes in-patient work and outreach clinics.
Carry out aural rehabilitation on patients with additional disabilities.
Evaluate tinnitus patients.

- RCCP state registration or working towards state registration
- BTEC or Dip HE or BSC or BATT part 1 and 2 or equivalent audiological qualification
