The post holder, working as part of a team, is required to ensure the provision and development of high-quality information in relation to incident and risk thematic analysis in order to support the development of the Trust's risk profile.

Main duties of the job

They will participate in the analysis of data for risk areas including incidents and associated investigations/learning reviews to identify themes and trends for learning and improvement work at operational and Trust-wide level. They will take responsibility for the thematic analysis within the Patient Safety Department, that will be used to help inform the Trust's Patient Safety Incident Response Plan, the Trust quality priorities, and aid in informing or assessing the impact of patient safety actions. The post holder will link in with other teams/care groups forthe themes pertaining to their areas to aid the interpretation of the Trust's risk profile and triangulation of themes.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, skills, and knowledge.
  • Evidence of Continual Professional Development.


Desirable

  • Healthcare and/or relevant professional qualification.
  • Project management / quality improvement / research methodologies experience.


Occupational Experience

Essential

  • Extensive experience of working with management information systems and databases.
  • Experience of using and creating bespoke database systems.
  • Facilitating quality improvement projects and developing SMART actions.
  • Experience of dealing with senior staff from multidisciplinary backgrounds.


Desirable

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
