We are looking for Registered Children's Nurse's (RCN'S) to join our busy Emergency Department (ED) team.
You should be well-motivated with excellent communication skills and a willingness to put the on-going care of children and their family's first.
Previous experience preferable but not essential
The post holders would be required to work flexibly, including nights and weekends
Main duties of the job
1. Be accountable for performing regular assessments on patient needs, to plan, implement and evaluate care delivery and be adaptable to changing health care requirements in ED and Children's Assessment Unit.2. Ensure patient records are maintained and stored in accordance with the Trusts policy, taking accountability for the collection, collation and reporting of information.3. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with patients, relatives and carers to always ensure their involvement in the decisions about treatment, planning and the delivery of their care.4. Assess the need for the appropriate escorted transfer of patients of a high dependency nature according to Trust policy within ED and over to Children's Unit.
