The Project Management Office (PMO) within the Transformation directorate at NNUH has embedded a rhythm of continuous improvement at the Trust, through inclusive engagement and systematic review of projects with divisional clinical, operational, financial, and strategic management colleagues.
The PMO has an important corporate assurance and reporting function at the Trust, facilitating governance to support the effective delivery of prioritized divisional and cross divisional projects, and the efficient progression of schemes on the assurance pathway, through financial due diligence, patient safety, and clinical quality approval gateways.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job
The PMO Project Manager plays a crucial role maintaining the Trusts financial sustainability and ultimately, supports the ongoing provision of high quality services for patients. The post holder will have responsibility for engaging and supporting the efficient work up and delivery of divisional and cross divisional projects, ensuring that all projects are underpinned by a robust evidence base through appropriate benchmarking and data capture.
The role will also involve high quality benefits tracking and providing accurate reporting outputs into a range of governance forums. The successful candidate will therefore require NHS PMO experience, together with advanced MS Excel skills and a high level competence and familiarity using other MS software products, including Word and Powerpoint.

The key functions of the PMO include:
- Monitor, drive and challenge the delivery of the BAU CIP and STRAT programmes of work.
- Establish and maintain strong governance, processes and standardised documentation for all projects and programmes.
- Formally review and challenge project documentation and outcomes
- Capture lessons learnt from previous projects to develop and build organisational knowledge and experience.
- Provide progress reports against planned delivery, performance metrics and agreed milestones to all key stakeholders (internal and external).
