York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity are looking for an experienced Events Fundraiser to deliver the charity's events programme.
This is an exciting time to join a growing charity team and there will be the opportunity to identify and develop new events for the charity as part of the role.
York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity is the official charity of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. From the everyday to the transformational, we fund improvements to the hospital environments and services which are above and beyond NHS funding.

Main duties of the job
The Events Fundraiser will work closely with the rest of the Charity Fundraising Team to deliver the charity's Fundraising Plan.
The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, managing and supporting participants for challenge events. They will also plan and deliver a range of other events for the charity including an online auction, stewardship events for supporters and opening events for charitably funded projects across the Trust.
With event management experience, either in a charity setting or a comparable role, the successful candidate will be highly organised, used to multi-tasking and meeting deadlines. They must be willing and able to work flexibly, with travel between hospital sites and some out of hours work for events.

- Experience of events planning/management
- Experience of delivering excellent donor stewardship or customer care.

- Experience working for a charity or third sector organisation
- Experience working with a CRM database
- Experience delivering a marketing and communications strategy.
Qualifications and Training

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent professional experience.
Other Skills

- IT literate and advanced use of: Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Ability to travel within the Trust region, between sites within local communities out of hours.
