An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, and experienced chemotherapy trained Registered Nurse to join our enthusiastic and friendly team in the administration of home chemotherapy for the patients in the Dudley borough. You will be supported by the Home SACT Lead nurse and our existing team of haematologists, oncologists, specialist nurses and pharmacists. This is a new position in which the post holder will deliver high quality specialist nursing care to patients and their families within the home environment.
The successful candidate must have proven recent experience in working with SACT in both haematology and oncology patient groups and also experience in toxicity recognition and management. Previous experience in the delivery of SACT within the community would also be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
Use of own car is essential for this post.
You will need to be able to meet the travel requirements of the post and be independently mobile and as such it is essential for you to possess a full category B car driving licence preferably clean or with no more than a maximum of 3 points
In this exciting and challengingrole you will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to foster good working relationships. The ideal candidate will be an experienced nurse with the ability to work autonomously within the multi-disciplinary teams involved in the patient pathway.

- First level registration
- Educated to diploma level or demonstrate experience of operating at this level
- SACT trained, able to administer chemotherapy independently and signed off on UKONs triage
- Evidence of completion of recognised chemotherapy administration programme and associated competencies, or working towards

- Educated to 1st degree level or evidence of study at degree level
