An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Cancer MDT Manager based at Colchester Hospital.
You will share responsibility for the day-to-day management of the MDT team, including recruitment processes, production and review of appraisals, training, managing attendance and any grievance/disciplinary issues.
As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will be required to engage with and work alongside health care professionals and administration staff working across the patient journey, including primary, secondary and palliative care.
You will also be expected to liaise closely with the relevant Modernisation Project Managers, Operational Managers and Co-Ordinators.

Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the assigned divisional MDTCteam, including recruitment processes, production and review of appraisals, training,managing attendance and any grievance/disciplinary issues.
- You will coordinate and ensure the smooth running of the administrative pathway of patients with suspected/diagnosed cancer, providing a link across specialities, divisions and network contacts.
- Support with tracking all patients on the Cancer pathway within the assigned division and communicate effectively to relevant service management regarding delays, escalations and targets to prevent breaches of the cancer waits standards.
- Deal with non-clinical queries from patients, their carers, general practitioners and members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Validate Cancer minimum datasets to ensure data quality and completeness for reporting purposes.
