Langham ward is an Acute medical ward with 29 beds, specialising in Gastroenterology and renal patients.

Do you possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work confidently and collaboratively across professional boundaries? Are you keen and motivated to learn? If so, then your skills are invaluable to us and we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist patients to fulfil the activities of daily living.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual programmes of care in partnership with patients and relatives/carers.
  • Accurately observe patient's condition and initiate appropriate action.
  • Administer medication safely to patients, including IV and Controlled drugs.
  • Actively participate in effective discharge planning

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse Level 1 or 2 or awaiting results.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

  • Mentorship module or willing to work towards achievment
  • Willingness to undertake further education


Experience

  • Worked within the healthcare setting

  • Undertaken preceptorship


Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice.
  • Understanding and ability to apply clinical governance principles to practice
