We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our leadership team at Salisbury District Hospital. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for current and aspiring leaders to engage in the pivotal functions of the Chief Medical Officer. As an executive member of the Trust Board, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare within our integrated care system and the broader regional healthcare landscape.

- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and Trust Board to drive strategic initiatives and enhance healthcare delivery.
- Serve as a key influencer in the development and implementation of our shared Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system and engage with governance changes within the BSW Acute Hospital Alliance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Champion continuous quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing transformation of patient care through the Improving Together program.

Essential
- GMC registration
- Substantial experience of clinical leadership within the NHS, including managing multidisciplinary teams, driving high performance cultures, leading on service development and driving quality improvement initiatives
- Substantial clinical experience at consultant level or equivalent3
- Experience of job planning, medical appraisal, workforce development/education and the management of performance concerns
- Experience of developing leadership knowledge and skills in others
- Experience as a case investigator and/or case manager
- Evidence of successful initiation and facilitation of strategic partnerships and working collaboratively with other health professionals, managers, internal and external stakeholders
- Good understanding of NHS policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and standards, and best practice
- Good working knowledge of Improving Together tools and systems and their application to service improvement and transformation
- Experience of developing and implementing strategic plans and strategies, and monitoring quality & effectiveness.
