An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Emergency Medicine Division at Ipswich Hospital. We are looking for an inspiring individual to join our team in this Senior Nursing Leadership role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse.
This is a fast paced and exciting environment to work in and will be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate if you have a passion for high standards of clinical care and an innovative and progressive attitude this could be the role for you.
Our ideal candidate will have proven Band 6 experience, who is open to the challenges brought about by change and who are committed to creative partnerships. You will need to be responsive to the fluctuating demands typical of the emergency environment and show a willingness to undertake extended roles.
If you have good juggling skills to be able to balance operational delivery, patient safety, quality and patient experience this could be the challenge you are looking for!
Main duties of the job
You will require excellent clinical and leadership skills essential to fulfil the role as the deputy sister/charge nurse. We are looking for an individual who is keen to sustain and improve patient care, quality, and experience. You must be highly organised, with good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. It is vital that you have the capability and the ability to develop and lead a team within a supportive culture.
The main focus of this role is patient flow, to ensure we get the right patient to the right place in a timely manner, with the emphasis on patient safety and clinical efficiency whilst demonstrating high quality care.
