THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 2 YEARS DUE TO MATERNITY COVER.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to provide a highstandard of Podiatric Service to Patients within Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) and promote clinical excellence across the county. The post holder will have a close working relationship with the Specialist Podiatrist and other Community services in the County to promote a seamless patient journey.
We will provide the successful applicant with a named mentor and a structured mentoring program.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to be an autonomous practitioner and have the enthusiasm to progress with support from senior staff in your role as a podiatrist. You will need to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and work well as part of a team and be expected to take an active part in continuous clinical and service improvement. The post holder will benefit and contribute to a robust supervision model in place which has a strong emphasis on shared learning across services.
You will form part of a team, using evidence based/ patient centred principles to assess, plan and deliver individualised treatment programmes and delegate responsibility as appropriate. You will also supervise podiatry assistants and students, promoting evidence-based practice and supporting decision making. The post holder will need to be a keen team member with a flexible approach to workand have effective communication skills to assist with managing change.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
