This exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly skilled midwife to join our Delivery Suite leadership team. The candidate will have daily responsibility for supporting and managing a clinical team and will include operational and leadership skills when coordinating Delivery Suite. We will support you with a personal developmental plan tailored to your needs and which fit in with the requirements of this role.
We are interested in looking for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and adaptable in an dynamic Delivery Suite environment. The role includes supporting both low and high risk women and families in their choices to provide high quality, safe and effective care whilst role modelling Trust Values to the whole multi-disciplinary team.

As a Co-ordinator you will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the activity on the Delivery Suite, triage service and the Acorn Suite (low risk unit), along with being involved with service development in the intrapartum areas
Main duties of the job
Main duties:
To take responsibility for the provision of sound clinical, educational and managerial leadership to a team of midwives and support staff within Delivery suite and Acorn Suite, and inpatient areas out of hours.
To provide care, support innovative and up to date advice to women and their families throughout their pregnancy, in accordance with the Midwives rules and standards.
Support the Head of Midwifery, Matrons - Clinical Midwifery Manager/Matron in the execution of their role.
Demonstrate and promote excellent interpersonal skills promoting quality written, verbal and nonverbal communication styles.
Maintain a positive working environment through culture of compassion and kindness.
Be able to undertake shift work to include nights and weekends.

- To manage a fast paced delivery suite during the shift (covering 24hrs a day) and have clinical responsibility for the area.
- To provide clinical midwifery care to women within the Maternity Services.
