A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced or newly qualified Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU)/ Surgical SDEC. SAU is a 18 bedded Unit which specialises in prioritising and delivering treatment and care to stabilise acutely ill patients prior to discharging them home in a safe, prompt and timely manner, or enabling transfer to the appropriate ward for the patient to receive ongoing care.

Although SAU is a very busy and demanding unit, it offers a wide variety of acute conditions across all ages within adult nursing. The Unit is fully supported by all members of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding care at all times.

We offer an excellent in house training package with full individualised professional development plans that continue to grow throughout employment, including venipuncture, cannulation, and supervisor for students.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse, you will support the Ward/Department Leader in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, making a real difference in patients' lives.
