An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced, Specialist Physiotherapist to join the In Patient Physiotherapy team on the wards at St Austell Community Hospital .
The post is for 22.5 hours ideally over three days - details to be discussed at interview
We are looking for a colleague who is experienced at working autonomously , enjoys in patient work who wishes to develop his/her rehabilitation skills.
You will be based at St Austell community hospital.
You will work predominantly, alongside Physiotherapy colleagues, Occupational Therapy colleagues, and the full inpatient MDT You will share an office with the community therapy team therapy team and occasionally required to provide cross cover.
You will be responsible for the assessment, planning and implementation of patients' rehabilitation, identifying problems and needs and set realistic patient led goals.
For this post you will need to be able to think quickly, problem solve and multi task.

- To provide a high standard physiotherapy service, performing advanced assessments of patients including those with highly complex presentations, and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
- To provide leadership for support staff and junior staff through supervision, training and appraisal.
- To participate in the planning and development of Physiotherapy Services within the designated team.
- To work predominantly in an inpatient setting
- 7 day working could become an operational requirement of this post in the future.
- Specialist advice and support to Physiotherapy and the wider multidisciplinary team.

- Formal and informal post graduate training in the rehabilitation and management of complex and long term conditions

- Advanced assessment skills, with broad range of post graduate experience of medical, surgical, orthopaedic, neurology, respiratory, musculoskeletal rehabilitation work.

- Ability to manage people, provide supervision to junior/support staff
- Ability to safely lone work in the community
