We are looking to recruit an experienced Older Adult Psychology Locality Lead for The Bay (Lancaster and Morecambe, South Lakes and Barrow)

We expect candidates to bring a real passion and enthusiasm for older adult work, with a range of experience in community and inpatient areas. In this post you will provide professional leadership to a team of psychologists working into community teams including a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), a Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT), a Memory Assessment Service (MAS) and an older adult in patient ward.

You will be supported by the network psychology lead, and will work alongside operational, clinical and other colleagues to ensure an excellent service for older people in the locality.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will be responsible for supervision of junior colleagues and will also work clinically into older adult services in the area, according to need. You will be joining a thriving and supportive older adult psychology specialty, and you will also link with psychology leads from across the mental health network, which incorporates adult mental health and secure services, at regular meetings.

The Bay is a great place to be a psychologist. You would be a welcome member of the psychology workforce, both locally and within the trust. There are many opportunities for clinical professional development, peer support and networking with colleagues. We have good resources for CPD and supervision and strong links to the regional D Clin Psych courses/Universities with opportunities to contribute to teaching, research and trainee placements.
