Do you thrive working in a hospital environment? Are you keen to work as part of a dynamic and supportive team? Do you enjoy multi-disciplinary working to support integrated physical and psychological care for individuals with physical health needs and their families/carers? Are you committed to continuous improvement in care pathways and supporting the development of other professionals?

We have an exciting new opportunity to join the department of clinical (health) psychology at Salisbury District Hospital, as a highly specialist clinical psychologist, and pathway lead for cancer. Our department, comprised of psychologists, psychological therapists and counsellors, provides inpatient, outpatient, staff wellbeing, and staff development within the hospital. Most of our team work across both a specialist pathway and our generalist psychology provision, through a hub-and-spoke model. This post would span both elements of the team, as pathway lead for cancer, but also providing supervision and clinical work in the wider department.

To coordinate, implement, and develop an effective psychology provision to inpatient and outpatient cancer pathways.

To work alongside the Head of Clinical Psychology, Lead Cancer Nurse, and Lead AHP in cancer pathways to continually improve psychological provision in cancer pathways across the four levels of psychological care and in line with the SWAG Cancer Alliance recommendations.
