We have an exciting 12 month secondment opportunity for a Registered Professional with an interest in patients who are visiting our Musculoskeletal departments at both Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
You will be working alongside an established consultant and nurse led team to enable you to provide expert care to this complex patient group and assisting with advice and clinic reviews. You will support the team in ensuring a high standard of care and act as an advocate to the patient and their families.
You will use your knowledge and clinical decision making skills to provide a quality, integrated service for rheumatology, fracture and elective orthopaedic patients within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
Good communication skills and resourcefulness are key to the role as the post holder will communicate closely with a variety of personnel and departments across the Trust and the wider community.
The successful candidate will manage and lead the teams and will support and guide the wider multi-disciplinary team to develop new services and pathways in order to improve the patient experience.
The post holder will act as a role model in the delivery of patient care, support, teach and inspire others to ensure a positive patient experience and delivery of an ever growing service.
To be responsible for the effective management of the workload and provide a safe environment for patients', staff and visitors.
Main duties of the job
To undertake a management role, alongside Matron, in planning co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the MSK service to outpatients on a day-to-day basis.
To work within and across professional and organisational boundaries, liaising with other professionals to deliver expert care to a high standard to clients.
To work with the Matron to improve services to patients and develop staff.
To provide a management role for the Rheumatology and Orthopaedic CBU outpatient staff ensuring that care is delivered to a high standard.
Take the lead role in specialist advice for MSK patients.
