An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Depot and Clozapine Clinic within Hereford City. You will be part of a smaller clinic team while working within the Hereford City Neighbourhood Team.
The role will be working with the existing depot/clozapine clinic team to facilitate in the administration and supervision of long acting injections. Within the Clozapine, Depot and Physical health clinics you will be responsible for ensuring that all clinical records and data collection is recorded and collected by the team. You will also be responsible in ensuring that the needs of those with a mental health diagnosis are met.
The role will include the supervision of staff as well as providing a learning opportunity for junior staff and students.
The team works within a multi-disciplinary service and the role will be varied and will offer opportunities to work with service users suffering from a range of serious mental illnesses and dual diagnoses.

Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive, accessible and responsive mental health services to adults within the local area. To deliver physical health interventions to patients under the service inclusive of phlebotomy. To participate in the daily management of a depot/clozapine clinic. To administer long acting injections and facilitate clozapine monitoring. To ensure a roster system is in place for the clinics To continually develop clinical, team and service evaluation and delivery of the service. To ensure that Outcome measures are collected to inform improvements. To contribute to effective multi-disciplinary working within the CMHT and build effective liaison with community, primary and other secondary and tertiary services and agencies within the area. To meet the changing demands of the service as required.

The post holder will be clinically responsible delivery of a flexible, responsive local service within a Neighbourhood Mental Health team.
The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues, key partners and those within the local community to develop services to meet the mental health needs of the community. The post holder will communicate with people with a range of mental health needs, to provide and receive complex, sensitive information to people where there are barriers to understanding.
The post holder will employ a wide range of skills, building on and developing their expertise and actively seeking advice and collaboration with the Team Manager where issues which may not be readily resolved. As a registered practitioner you are professionally and legally accountable under the NMC code of professional practice
