Due to a change in working hours of the current post holder we are looking for a radiographer with extensive experience to cover the remaining 15 hours per week. You will be working as a deputy to the Radiotherapy Manager with a focus on the operational management of the radiotherapy treatment and pre-treatment service.

Main duties of the job

Alongside the current post holder you will be supporting the Radiotherapy Manager by playing a key role in the department management team and deputising for the Radiotherapy Manager as required.

You will provide the day to day operational management of the Radiotherapy Department, supervising procedures and ensuring that standards are maintained and staff kept up-to-date with operational and technological developments.

Job responsibilities

As an HCPC registered Radiographer you will be required to act in accordance with the code of conduct and professional standards as well as providing leadership and guidance to support the team to also meet these standards.

Ensuring the requirements of IR(ME)R 2017 and IRR17 are met and taking on the role of Radiation Protection Supervisor.

Education and Training

Essential

  • HCPC registered
  • DCR(T) or BSc or equivalent as recognised by HCPC
  • Post graduate qualification


Desirable

  • RPS


Knowledge and Experience

  • Leading treatment/pre-treatment teams
  • Introduction of new technologies into clinical service
  • Development of specialist training programmes

  • Experience of system admin responsibilities with oncology management systems
