We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our friendly Exeter South & West cluster. You may be an existing Band 6 or be an experienced Band 5, looking to develop.

This role is based within the community rehab team which includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a rehabilitation nurse and support workers. We provide patient-centred care in patients homes, nursing and residential homes, providing support and rehabilitation to patients with long term and acute conditions, falls prevention and care of the older person, to achieve their full potential.
We link closely with our wider colleagues in the community nursing teams as well as social care. We also support the Community Urgent response team at times of need and the successful candidate is also expected to support a 7-day service, as part of a weekend rota.
You will require a wide-ranging clinical skills & community experience to be able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team. You will need excellent communication skills, adaptability & resilience to change. Lone working is required at times.
There is day to day clinical support from clinical leads as well as a structured in-service training programme to help support and guide your development.
The South & West cluster covers the areas of Broadclyst, Pinhoe, Topsham, Exminster, Alphington, St Thomas and Starcross.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. The staff member will be expected to support 7 day working as part of a rostered pattern to support to the 08:00 to 20:00 urgent community response rota.
