We are seeking an enthusiastic band 7 Clinical Lead Physiotherapist to join the Integrated Stroke Early Supported Discharge & Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service. The Integrated Service provided both stroke rehabilitation & community neuro rehabilitation supporting service users with a variety of complex needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established multi-disciplinary team comprising of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Specialist Nurses & Neuro Rehab assistants.
This role requires the successful candidate to manage a clinical caseload across the North of Cambridgeshire. The base will be Peterborough.
The role involves visiting patients in their homes, wards, or community gyms. There may be times when there is a requirement to provide clinical cover elsewhere within Cambridgeshire. The role requires agile working often using virtual consultation to manage a caseload.
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle . You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Main duties of the job
You will use your clinical skills and knowledge to shape the service, support others in their development. You will work closely with all members of the Multidisciplinary Team and assist the Locality Team Lead with service development. You will be involved as needed in the complaints process and serious incidents reviews.
You will provide comprehensive assessments and deliver evidence-based specialist neuro Physiotherapy programmes. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in supporting patients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs to achieve their potential.

- To have a clinical lead responsibility in the service, developing pathways in conjunction with locality and Service Leads.
- Represent and deputise for the locality team lead as required.
- To assess, plan and develop specialist Physiotherapy programmes for patients with complex neurological problems and a wide variety of complex needs.
- Using expert knowledge, advanced clinical and autonomous decision-making skills, lead the team to manage patients with highly complex and sometimes unstable health needs.
- Ensure systems are in place to evidence the ward is compliant with care quality commission standards.
- To supervise junior staff and students, overseeing patient intervention and ensure that rehabilitation assistants deliver high quality patient care.

Essential
- Degree or equivalent, e.g., BSc, MSc, or Diploma entry level qualification into the Physiotherapy profession.
