IAPT CBT Therapist - Remote Home Working and/or Locally Based

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated qualified High Intensity CBT Therapists to join a growing and evolving team working to provide CBT to the population of Norfolk and Waveney.

Working as a CBT therapist within the Wellbeing Service is such a rewarding role. It is a privilege to be able to help support people through their difficulties and into their recovery. Our service is able to offer so many different options to clients such as social interventions alongside CBT, which enhances our therapy and helps clients make more progress. Working alongside colleagues in so many different roles to support clients helps develop my own skills and increases my confidence and provides a more holistic approach.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity to be part of our innovative IAPT service which is amongst the highest performers in the region. We are seeking highly motivated, energetic, flexible and creative individuals to join us and contribute to our success.

You will be BABCP Accredited (or Accreditable) and able to maintain your own caseload, providing assessment and treatment for people within an IAPT framework

We recognize the importance of staff wellbeing and development and have built a robust programme of supervision, case management and continuing professional development, which includes dedicated time for CPD activities.

About us

The Wellbeing Service is an enhanced IAPT service, for ages 16 upwards, who want help with common mental health problems of anxiety and low mood. The service is delivered via a partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT), Mind and Relate. We know mental health can be isolating so follow a bio-psycho-social model which uniquely includes psychological, employment and social interventions. Our treatments are delivered face to face, by telephone, and online via webinars, Attend Anywhere and computerised CBT.

Work location

We are working remotely at present due to COVID-19 however in the future we anticipate offering a combination of remote and face-to-face treatment options. We are recruiting to both remote posts and to locally based positions. We would therefore be interested in hearing from you if you would like to work either entirely remotely from home or with a combination of remote and face to face working in Norfolk and Waveney in the future. For future face-to-face working options, you must have the ability to travel independently as required.

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of specialist mental health services for the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, serving a population of 1.6 million people. We are a large organisation covering a wide geographical area divided into ‘Care Groups'. There are also Care Groups supporting children, family and young people’s services, and specialist services, including Forensic mental health services.
