We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced psychologist in our Kirklees Specialist Community Learning Disability Team.
Applications are invited for:
‒ a full-time (37.5hrs) AfC 8b Principal Clinical Psychologist to work within the Community Learning Disability Team in Kirklees.
This post will involve a substantial leadership role across the service, supporting the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, and will include opportunities to work into both the Community Psychology Team and the Intensive Support Team in Kirklees.
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychologist who is passionate about providing responsive and effective care to people with learning disabilities who present with complex needs. The Community Psychology team comprises of experienced 8a Psychologists and an Assistant Psychologist. The Intensive Support Team is multi-disciplinary and includes Psychology, LD Nursing, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and clinical support staff. You will be supported and supervised by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who clinically leads both services.
The post holder will have expertise in a wide range of psychological, assessment, positive behaviour support and leadership skills to ensure the provision of a highly specialist and comprehensive service and will have responsibility for clinical pathways of service delivery.
This post will give the successful applicant the opportunity to take a leading role in the local implementation of the national NHS Long Term Plan for people with Learning Disabilities, as well as giving the opportunity to contribute to the leadership of the broader Learning Disability service as part of the Trust’s clinically-led local leadership team.
