Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Emergency Department team to provide expert nursing care to those attending the Emergency Department including the Urgent Care Centre. To provide expert practice and knowledge. To promote, implement and evaluate evidence-based practice.

The post holder will collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care following guidelines and pathways within emergency care.

Qualifications
Essential
  • NMC level 1.
  • Post Registration A& E course (formally ENB 199) or equivalent study.
  • ILS / ALS Qualified.
Desirable
  • Non-medical prescriber
Experience
Essential
  • Significant years of post registration emergency nursing experience.
  • A minimum of 18 months working as Band 6 level in the Emergency Department or emergency care setting.
Desirable
  • Clinical supervision experience.
