The Greater Manchester Resilience Hub (GMRH) is a unique, all age, psychology-led service originally established as a partnership between all the NHS mental health provider trusts in Greater Manchester in response to the Manchester Arena Attack on 22nd May 2017.
Since 2017 the GMRH has worked with colleagues across Greater Manchester to build on the innovative approach to support offered to all those impacted by the Arena attack. The GMRH has developed and delivers a range of trauma responsive initiatives across Greater Manchester including a wellbeing service for health and social care staff, and their immediate family members, the Trusted Relationships service which supports the Complex Safeguarding Teams across GM and support for major incidents. In addition to having obtained recurrent funding for our core work streams we are working with a range of partners, such as the Police, Early Help and Youth Justice on a number of projects to support their work with traumatised individuals and to mitigate the impact of this work on staff.
