An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian with clinical experience to join Manchester Royal Infirmary's brilliant dietetic team at Band 6 level.

If you enjoy acute dietetics and would like to develop your skills in a variety of highly specialist clinical areas in a large teaching hospital, then this job is for you!

You will be supported by a team of Senior Specialist Dietitians and encouraged to develop and expand your clinical and leadership skills in a rotational program across multiple specialities: Critical Care, Gastroenterology, Colorectal Surgery, Hepatobiliary (HPB), Haematology, Head & Neck and Renal.

If you think this job is for you, then please read on for more information.

Main duties of the job

To apply for this post, you must have current HCPC registration and a degree, postgraduate diploma or master's degree in Dietetics. NHS clinical experience at Band 5 level is essential and you must have existing skills in nutrition support across a broad range of disease groups.

Each rotation lasts 1 year and involves comprehensive training, tutorials, shadowing, joint working, and competency development. You will develop a wide range of clinical skills in each specialist area, in inpatient and outpatient settings, and in complex nutrition support including parenteral nutrition.

You will deliver high-quality, evidenced based care to patients, develop your understanding of dietetic diagnosis and outcomes, and contribute to ward rounds and MDT meetings.

We are a supportive department, and you will be able to develop your leadership skills by supervising Band 5 Dietitians and will be actively involved in student training.

You will have access to regular continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities and clinical updates. There will be opportunities to contribute to service improvement and research activities with the support of the Senior Specialist Dietitians and our Research & Innovation Dietetic Working Group.
